From the factory floor to fractional CMO.

Before marketing, I spent 12 years inside my family's business, Grimm Brothers Plastics — as engineering manager, in business development, and eventually running marketing. That's where this started. I learned how a real company actually makes money, where marketing moves the needle, and where it just spins.

I started The Grimm Company in 2018 to make strategy-focused video — content built to do a job, not just look good. But we kept hitting the same wall: even great content doesn't do much when there's no strategy behind it. Clients started asking us to handle more — the plan, the systems, the follow-through — until we were effectively running their marketing. So we built for it. We got certified in a proven marketing-strategy system, added fractional CMO services, and brought strategy, execution, and video under one roof.

That path is the whole reason Grimm works the way it does. We don't just advise, and we don't just produce — we set the direction and build the systems that run it. That's what businesses actually needed from us, so that's what we became.

We run Grimm from Muscatine, Iowa, working with B2B companies across the Midwest and beyond.
